McKayla Rose Maroney also known by the nickname 'Mack Air Maroney" is a famous American athlete that has earned two medals at the Summer Olympic Games of 2012 Silver for individual gymnastics in the vault and a gold medal with her team. Her parents are involved in athletics, and this led her to start the sport of gymnastics as a child. She is a specialist in vaulting, and is the sole gymnast to succeed in defending the gold medal she first earned in the 2011 World Championship, and then defended it in 2013 Championship. The disappointment she felt when she received the silver medal in 2012 for vaulting was apparent and she hoped to achieve an additional gold at her participation in the Rio Olympic Games of 2016. Due to a health issue or injuries she announced that she would retire before her departure from the Olympic Games. In addition to gymnastics, McKayla has been in television serials.
